I'm not sure even AUDs of those surfaced ever, out of respect for the band...they may not have even allowed taping those nights

Got Steve's book yesterday but haven't started yet. Supposed to be great.

He was on Brian Koppelman's podcast this week and it was quite good, even if I've heard most of his answers before.

This has got to be one of the catalogue journeys at some point. I mean, I know most of it but I never got to the point where I wore out any of their albums but always enjoyed them.

the sad thing is, is since their original hiatus ended in 2005, they've put out one less record than Pearl Jam in that time and have played almost twice as many shows...and their last record came out 10 years ago and there hasn't been a show under the Black Crowes name in 6 years...

Wow, that’s sad.

Speaking of the Crowes, High Head Blues can on yesterday. First time in awhile since I heard it, I think it might be my favorite.

About halfway through Steve's book...very enjoyable so far with many stories that will make you laugh out loud

Chris and Rich were captured together on the streets of Nashville signing autographs recently, video of it just got posted today...even only being halfway through Gorman's book this does not shock me

Gorman on instagram said there were Black Crowes rehearsals happening "down the hall" from where (I assume) Trigger Hippy is rehearsing for their upcoming tour

I heard the book is really good. I don't even like the Black Crowes, but I did meet Chris Robinson before. Dude offered me mushrooms when I was on the clock at work.

I’m about 3/4 of the way through the book. It’s a good read, although I wish it focused a little more on the highs of specific songs and shows and less on all the drama.

I won’t see any incarnation of TBC that doesn’t have Steve in it. Even then, if it’s not Marc or Luther playing guitar I doubt I’d go anyway. One thing that’s apparent in Steve’s book is that TBC is viewed more as the Robinson brothers’ piggy bank rather than a band whose legacy should be furthered and celebrated. Zero interest in seeing that, and I would expect they’ll find that if they go that route it will be much more like whatever that greatest hits shitshow that Chris Robinson took out last year. No thanks.

Right but Marcus King played in As the Crow Flies. I mean, if Marcus King plays in The Black Crowes instead of Luther Dickinson or Marc Ford, I am definitely there as much as I would be happy with either of them.
