Wow, this is the first time I’ve heard of people thinking stormtroopers were robots, and into such a later phase of life.

Not making fun, but it never crossed my mine, child or adult, that they might be robots.

30+ viewings of Han and Luke stealing armor and dressing up as Stormtroopers, and it never dawned on me once, "Hey, those are people wearing armor." I have no idea how my brain rationalized that. I guess I never thought about it. I just had an image in my head of Stormtrooper robots.
