You don't like plot. You don't like set decorations. You don't like JJ Abrams. I'm starting to think you don't even really like Oscar Isaac.
Without telling me the plot, because I am staying spoiler free, has the plot really leaked yet?
Some people say it has. But I haven't read any spoilers or descriptions, so I can't say how real or fake it is. But there have been at least three (that I know of) that have "leaked." The most recent one is the one people are buying into right now. But again, I haven't read it so I just don't know.
My post was making fun of Verm because he thinks plot (in movies in general) is dumb.

It was hilarious / kind of a bummer what they did to Kevin Smith at Comic Con

Going back to your earlier comments bout slavish attention to detail and hallow nerdiness and artistic vision...
This. This clip right here is exactly why JJ Abrams is the perfect person to direct this movie. Because his artistic vision (normally, I firmly believe that an artist has to create for themselves with as little consideration as possible for the audience, frankly) completely, harmoniously aligns with the slavish nerdiness. He's going to make the movie he wants to see. His artistic vision will come first. But because he's also a super-nerd/super-fan, his artistic vision is also what other fans really want to see.
I'm so happy George Lucas has nothing to do with this movie.

I hope the thing is good and not just nostalgic masturbation. I have high hopes. But JJ's pretty much going out of his way to guarantee that if people don't like it, he has no one else to blame but himself. Ballsy and I like it. Fingers crossed.
I've got a .... GOOD feeling about this.

The biggest thing that has to happen is the "passing of the torch" to the new characters. I will get major nerd boner no matter what when I see luke, han and lei etc... If they can transfer that magic towards the new characters then it will be golden.

That does tickle the hope bone a bit. But it's literally impossible to make something not look amazing when most of the video is shots of the millennium falcon and John Williams music. Also, while the emphasis on practical effects is nice, it's Abrams terrible storytelling and tendency towards charicaturization that most makes me anticipate a stupid movie.

Every teaser and piece of press so far has been a great big "fuck you" to George Lucas.

VII's destined to be heavy on exposition about the next chapters anyway, right? so maybe this one's dumb, the internet will let abrams and company know it, and they'll attempt at better movies for the following chapters. it's not the end of the world galaxy.
