But when it's Russell Crowe and his plucky Spanish sidekick vs. the devil, it gets really fun. I'm glad I watched it

Very interesting movie. Two intense hours, all in one shot.

The cinematography is excellent, the lead actress plays her role to perfection, very believable. The suspense was really good, and the movie kept me guessing where it would end up next.

I remember this one. Yeah, it's really great. I know it gets really intense but, funnily enough, the parts that stick with me the most are from the beginning when it's just a pretty young Spanish lady trying to make friends in a Berlin nightclub even though she doesn't speak German. Good movie

This is pretty good. Not fully brilliant, but an interesting true story retelling of Trumbo post-1947.

I saw Alien Covenant again last night because of this thread. DAMN, what a fucking wild ride. I loved it even more. Fassbender was out of this world good. That ending is fucking grim.

Again, what they do to Shaw is cruel...a character that couldnt be a mother is the mother of those beasts? i want a full book of David tricking her into that.

Those drawings? what the fuck

I haven't seen this since the theatre which is now six damn years ago, will try to revisit soon.

Ended up watching Prometheus as well as Alien: Covenant. Definitely enjoyed the former more than previous viewings, it looks gorgeous and the tone throughout is fantastic. The latter, while a lot of the acting was really subpar (I really wanted to punch Crudup in the face) Fassbender was stellar and tipped the scale close enough to even to have fun. Watching a single Xenomorph wreak so much havoc will also never get old to me.

I was actually a little disappointed with it. Was waiting for it to get really good, but instead it slowly evolved in the same direction for a long time. Obviously what you believe at the start is not the same as you believe at the end, but not really in a good way.
