Watched 2 movies tonight -

Monsters - I enjoyed this one a lot. Scoots a good actor, it's a shame he's not in more movies.

I Tonya - This was excellent. Pretty sad story - I wasn't really familiar with the details.

This was really entertaining. Like a comedy in some parts, and a drama in other. With the music and the cinematography interacting beautifully, it’s actually a really good movie.

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I should give that a rewatch. I only saw it once when it first came out. I wonder if having seen The King of Comedy now would make me like it more or less.

Last night I watched Raiders of the lost Ark for the first time. What a movie. Just one inventive action sequence after another.

There's something so much better about real people, in real places, doing real stunts.
