yeah, its incredible and i agree with you, Lucas did this for the prequels, its basically his idea.

I won’t bore you but Lucas is personally responsible for cinema being where it is. We all know that.
But even on the small scale. He got 20th century fox to insist every cinema that wanted to show Star Wars to upgrade their whole set up audio and visual.
The originals and prequels. The studio wouldn’t give the film to any cinema wouldn’t.
That’s big corporate bullying in a way but for an actual benefit.

We wouldn’t have anything like the magic we have today in film without him.

I can't recall a single piece of music other than the main title theme which is like what someone on this board would say is Star Wars by way of a western.

That theme resonates with the feels.

Anyhow, I posted because someone thought they were cool by stitching the Jedi theme into Luke's arrival. It's on a commentary on that particular piece of music, but they really fucked up the scene.

Just watched the final episode of series 2 and wow.

I still get chills when the xwing flies in.

That whole sequence with him eclipses the entire series. Even Ahsoka.

I love it though.

I still think it was poorly executed and a giant whiff. Bad face effects. Wrong music.

The standards for effects are too high these days to accept what they did in that episode. A Youtuber outclassed them with a deepfake a couple days after the episode aired. I feel very comfortable with my take.

It was mark hamill on set. They just de aged him.

How they did it is irrelevant. The final product wasn't good enough.

I find myself completely capable of enjoying that scene AND also admitting that Ensign is correct.
