The cream will rise to the top anyway. Does it matter if it's a 2 loss Texas A&M or a 2 loss Wake Forest?

Yes, because Texas A&M would at least have the potential for a competitive first round game.

This will all be moot within 10 years when college football as we know it gives way to Minor League Football.
