We need more Gareth Edwards films set in the Star Wars universe. His use of scale works so well in this universe - not that it doesn't work well in general.

I don't know if the ending of this really fits in perfectly with a New Hope. I mean, it kinda ruins the whole pretense of the Tantive IV being on a diplomatic mission when it was just spotted fleeing from a battle.

It is rather odd that the Empire stores the plans on a disc pack the size of an old cassette recorder, while the Rebellion is able to condense it down to something Smaller than a floppy disc.

Leia is simply bullshitting in that scene and both she and Vader know it.
That always was the case in that scene and rogue one doesn't change that. It enhances it if anything.
