Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Well that was a awesome movie. I cared more more about Jyn, Cassian, Bodhi, Chirrut, Baze and K2 than I did for any character in Force Awakens.
We need more Gareth Edwards films set in the Star Wars universe. His use of scale works so well in this universe - not that it doesn't work well in general.
Loved it.

His work really shows in that sequence where they were landing where it was dark and rainy. Most movies that would have just been too dark to see, but not the way he did itjwfocker wrote:Well that was a awesome movie. Yes, I thought the same thing. So many directors in films and on TV do not know how to properly film dark scenes.E.H. I don't know if the ending of this really fits in perfectly with a New Hope. I mean, it kinda ruins the whole pretense of the Tantive IV being on a diplomatic mission when it was just spotted fleeing from a battle.

Welp, all the Dolby Cinema showings next week seem to be sold out, so I have no idea when I'm seeing this now.

I mean, I guess you could say Leia was bullshitting Vader...Mecca wrote:I don't know if the ending of this really fits in perfectly with a New Hope. I mean, it kinda ruins the whole pretense of the Tantive IV being on a diplomatic mission when it was just spotted fleeing from a battle.

Lord Vader, I should have known.

Don't play games with me, Your

I don't know what you're talking

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Leia is simply bullshitting in that scene and both she and Vader know it.
That always was the case in that scene and rogue one doesn't change that. It enhances it if anything.
