Overall, I think it is a huge leap in the right direction for the band. It shows them energized, conveys some of the meaning of the song visually and will be a perfectly fine addition to their catalog to look back upon one day.

I was hoping to get a better idea of what the suggested "something else" or whatever alternative is being suggested to willing it to the sky would be, but I'm still left doing some wondering.

I need to watch it again (need kids to take naps) but the second chorus had all these scenes of destruction reversing themselves. That gives us a sense.

I liked it... I hate the Ed jumps, But I can't take a dump on the whole video just because of them.

Personally, I think all their videos since the Guaranteed video should have at least 1 second of the floating Eddie floating off the screen...Am I right?

I loved it. A little bit of cheese in it, but I think, given the director, some of that must be tongue in cheek. Lots of really great visuals to dissect. their best video in a long long time (granted that's a low bar), and a strong video by most standards.

I wouldn't say I "loved" it, but more or less this.

I assume it just means to be pro-active. Be self-reliant and try to influence and act upon the world.

not sure it is necessarily self-reliant, but it is juxtaposing action and passivity (will it to the sky/it's in god's hands/the appeal to heaven/this is the best of all possible worlds/there's nothing I can do)

its a cool video..Danny Clinch is good...i like the idea, some of the stuff that´s happening in the back, it goes well with the song and the band doesnt have to do things they normally wouldnt so, its a good video.

Ed was way cooler in the middle period of the band when he was being all stoic and shit, or more stoic at least. But watcha gonna do. He wants to shake his thing before he retires and all.

There was a bit with ed standing in front of a bluey oceany beachy looking scene. Or that's what I thought, cause it gave me a chuckle, but no actual waves I think

My favourite parts were the paper cut out silhouette storybook parts. I just love that aesthetic anyways. But it worked here in terms of innocence and something pure vs all out warmongering.

They put a lot of thought into this.
