the dark is way to low, but i love seeing picture so high

One thing I like about the tracking of this record is the Good and Evil/Rose/Try trio. I'm not hugely into the two former songs, they run together a bit for me, but you don't expect that concentrated a run of uptempo songs, particularly in the context of it being a solo record. After Good and Evil and Rose, I'm not expecting something even more ramshackle and fast-paced, which makes the beginning of Try a surprise even when you know it's coming.

Invincible and Brother the Cloud are the standout tracks for me. I almost wish Brother the Cloud was about something else because I really like it, but it makes me cry every time I listen to it.

I forgot about this. The thing on the front page reminded me. Listening to the first song. That intro is amazingly goofy. Maybe Bono in the 80's could have pulled that off but probably not.

Power of Right feels like it has potential but the chorus is boring. I will say his voice sounds pretty good.

Oh ok I remember the Long Way the Tom Petty song where he indulges all his worst vocal ticks.

Brother the Cloud is pretty good. Sounds like something off the last few albums that I could talk myself into.

I would have liked to have heard Eddie sing Good and Evil 20 years ago. Song needs a lot more work though.

Hmmm I might be able to talk myself into Rose of Jericho being good too.

Try seems like he is having fun so I'm glad he had fun.

I'm sure it was cool getting to play with Elton John. I leave it at that.

Mrs Mills is kinda like a song writing exercise.
