I wouldn’t trust Jorge with headphones. He once got the headphone jack stuck in his laptop and it took him seven years to get it out

Awesome. Just plug the right cup with a topper so you can just hear mike on the left channel. Best way to learn the guitar parts !!

That’s an incredible story. Is your wife a professional singer? The Fox theater is gorgeous. I lived in Oakland for 12 years and miss gems like that.

She's a good amateur who's busked a little bit. She benefited from Colin having a sore throat or laryngitis and not being able to do a promised Q and A with folks before the show, so he changed it into full band karaoke instead. We got a couple days notice so I made an intricate sign that I held up when it came time for them to pick people from the crowd, and they went for it.

Incidentally, The Telegraph Room at the Fox is a ticket upgrade that was often worth it. Dedicated private bar without a lot of people, nice private bathroom, complimentary food and a section of the listening floor that was pretty perfect view and sound-wise.

Because of the harmonica?
Not really, they both just seem noticeably lighter to me than Comes Then Goes. Drifting was just the first acoustic PJ that sprang to mind as a comp in my mind.

I look forward to another day of discussing every song in the Pearl Jam catalog in this thread.

Personally,
I think "Comes Than Goes" is one of the best songs Eddie has written in the last 20 years.
The performance is raw, emotional, the vocals are great, & the lyrics are deep and meaningful.
Obviously, the song comes from a very painful place.
But I feel that Eddie is at his best when he has something deep to channel.
Otherwise you just get dumb sappy songs about Rich People, waves, & Jill

I was listening to All Those Yesterdays yesterday and hear a note that I've also heard in Dark Matter!

Not once they drop it down a half step on tour.

Pearl Jam needs a new single just so we can be done with this thread until the new album comes.
