You also have this block with episodic TV, though, and I think that's sort of on you. True Detective, Atlanta, Louie -- there's some really stellar stuff being made right now, but I think less of those great works are getting done in the feature-length format...

Like how we were posting about Nolan's misuse of 70mm the other day? Meanwhile I watched Paper Boi on Atlanta get mugged in the woods, and I could see not only the beads of sweat on his face, but the actual pores of his skin. It made his experience more visceral to me, and then that episode took on a deeper significance after I watched the flashback episode that saw his character in junior high.
