I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

How about Open Range? His best later role?

Haven’t seen it, but Duvall is always compelling even when the material is not

Watching Sully. It’s ok so far. Felt almost like a documentary the first fifteen minutes.

Well made movie about what happened for sure. About what I expected. Nothing too exciting, even if the actual event was incredible.

I didn't like how they spend so much time in the hearings and the courtroom afterwards. The movie makes it seem like whether or not Sully would get in trouble was the central drama of that story. But that was at most a tangential element. Plane lands in river. That's the central element. It's a good news story, but there really isn't a movie there

The Conjuring 2

Finally watching this. Wanted to watch it a little sooner, but not the easiest movie to get room for to watch with my wife.

We did enjoy the first one.

Edit: this was pretty good. Proper story and build for these movies. I like that.
