There's only one line, and people in line disproportionately favor the cashier service. I end up waiting to use the self-checkout because it feels rude to bypass people to get to it when I don't know which check out they're going to choose.
When there's only one person in front of me, I'll ask if they're in line for the kiosk, but when there's like five people in line, I'm not going to ask everyone.
This c-store setup was not thought out well.

Oh, I completely agree with this. But this stems from people's lack of courtesy and them being oblivious to their surroundings, not being on the right or left side of the aisle.
I love when you’re walking behind someone and they just dead stop without considering someone is there. Happens in the airport all the time.
Stop walking around behind my kids, you perv.

Whenever a streaming service doesn't have the trailer for a movie or show, I want to burn the world down.

I always sit there with the IMDb app open on my phone like a goober. It's annoying af.

Multiple screens… sounds like a battlestation, mister.

That might make me less furious, but it's always when my wife and I or the whole family are trying to find something.
"Hey everyone, get up from your comfy spots on the couch and gather 'round my tiny screen to see the trailer and decide if this movie is the one we've been looking for!"
Fuck that! Why does Netflix want me to leave their platform and open YouTube so I can decide if I want to go back to Netflix and watch their movie?

Isn’t that a setting on Netflix? I get mad when I linger too long on the description and the trailer starts playing.

Sometimes the autoplay is the trailer. Sometimes it's the actual show.
Sometimes there are trailers and sometimes there are not.

Algorithms could be so good, but they're such garbage.
Facebook and Instagram know where I live and where I'm traveling (I assume). Why do they show me restaurants and breweries in cities that are hundreds of miles away from where I live or where I've recently been spending my money?
I don't give a fuck if a cool brewery opened in Utah. I'm not there. I've never been there. I have no outstanding plans to be there.

Advertising has ruined algorithms and search engines at this point. It’s all pay-for-placement which it makes near-impossible to find relevant places anymore. I went literally years without knowing there was a great kabob spot like five minutes away from me because they never show up on searches. Infuriating. I hate the word “enshitification” but yeah

I don't get it. How did you not find this kabob place years ago just exploring around?

It was on the other side of an intersection where there is basically nothing but homes. Had never had the need to go over there.
By “exploring around,” do you mean just like aimlessly driving? Because that is not something I do.

Funny thing about these supposedly dangerous algorithms is that I'll often buy something on Amazon, then I'll get ads for a week for the thing I just bought. How stupid is that?

Yeah, that's pretty much the gist of it.
Or even better, taking a roundabout way to a destination to unlock more of the map in your head.
