this is kind of the vibe (musically) I wish the verses of infallible had. Eddie sounds unrecognizable at this slower speed.

that's weird (the vocal thing), since I listen to podcasts at 150% speed usually and everyone still sounds like themselves.

Because the thing on podcasts only accelerates the tempo without changing the pitch. I just changed the track speed (tempo + pitch) so it tuned the whole thing down, including Ed's voice

now there's one less mystery in my life. Thank you.

As established yesterday, Given to Fly is one of the four songs on Yield better than Dark Matter. But the comparison reminds me that I prefer Matt's galloping drums more than Jack's sideways shuffle.

Dark Matter is better than Breakerfall

Corduroy is better than Dark Matter

Who Ever Said is better than Dark Matter, but I probably would not have thought so if I was comparing early reactions to both songs, as I think DM is the more immediately engaging of the two

I can't tell you where they land in relation to each other. I'm using the binary 'Is Dark Matter better than song X' ranking system. We can revisit this when I do a comprehensive ranking on Abnorman's site once DM (album) is released

This exercise has also confirmed that Pearl Jam has a lot of good songs.

That’s what I said a while back; to check it out on YouTube at 75% speed! It sounds more like a ‘heavy’ song.

I might actually like this vibe and music better. The vocals are weird AF though
