I think Walmsley could win anything he sets his mind to.

Ultra running has never seen a talent like him and he's only gonna get better once his mind catches up with his talent.

He's the best we got until east Africans start running ultras.

Has anyone considered the possibility that the reason Killian Jornet is so fast is because he's been running away from Nathan Fielder dressed in a red jumpsuit and trying to stab him with a pair of fancy scissors?

He's being chased by my favorite ultra runner of all time in this picture.

Anton Krupicka is the dirty hippie in the background.

At first glance I thought it was Forrest Gump.

So I head out today and my right leg locks up in the first 2 km. I'm luck fucccc. Then I try running on the grass for the first time all year and the leg instantly opens up. Now my only problems are that most of the grass is covered in snow and water and that I have a stress fracture in my left foot from skating.

You're getting faster.

Thanks, man.

I've been trying to focus on speed, even if it means fewer miles. This week was a really good week, though. Still managed 29 miles and 4 runs and was able too keep the pace up pretty consistently. I feel really good about it. Especially given how few miles I managed the two previous weeks. I think last week I only did 3 runs for a total of 17 miles.

It also helps that the weather has allowed me to run outside. I know the treadmill running has helped me get faster, but I really hate running on a 60 minute, finite, clock in a overly heated fucking gym surrounded by loud assholes.

Nothing beats running outdoors. Nothing. Like, maybe not even sex or tacos.

Welp. Next week I guess I’m running that race I signed up for way back when.

Pretty strong week for the Strava group. Mina and I tied right down to the tenth this week.

Downgraded my May marathon to a half and folded it into my summer 50K training. I'm back, baby! (Michelle Jenneke gif)
