fwiw, the video pauses before the car strikes the guy. it doesn't show him getting hit.

Looks pretty bad for Josh. The guy is plainly visible directly in front of him. Oof.

Poor Josh? He killed someone.

If that had happened here, he'd be facing a potential prison sentence.

Like others I don't want to watch the video, but I've seen comments from people that have seen it that it clearly seems like distracted driving, as there appears to be no change in speed and the guy gets dragged.

The band will have to issue a statement on this, I imagine.

yeah, i dont think he wanted to kill someone ...
And yet, through his own inattention, he did.

This should haunt him for the rest of his life.

I don't know how long these things take over there, but you'd have to imagine, on the basis of the footage, Josh is looking at a vehicular manslaughter charge.

nobody is saying he didnt kill the guy but again, im feel sorry for him to be on that situation. I also said i was sorry for the guy who died. As for him being hunted or not for the rest of his life, who knows. A good therapist and a good family might help.

it makes sense that in a place like this processing the event through Josh is how people would respond. It’s obviously a terrible tragedy for the family. But its fair to feel something for Josh who was incredibly irresponsible, with awful, irrevocable consequences for him, his victim, their family, Josh’s family

there’s a difference between someone who acted maliciously and someone who did something incredibly stupid.

My mother in law was killed in NYC crossing the street. She had the right of way but had headphones in and didnt see/hear a speeding ambulance. I don’t know how that driver feels. we never met them and didnt want to. she was 68. my wife still misses her terribly and i resent that my kids will never know her. but i still feel for the driver

Perhaps he got a text that said the band will not be needing his services on the next leg of the tour... or foreseeable future.

It's not weird or wrong to feel sorry for someone even after they made a terrible mistake with tragic consequences. I don't think VG is saying Klinghoffer should get off scot-free just because he didn't intend to kill the guy, nor is he diminishing the tragedy.
