the High School's name (Eastman) as a callback to one of the comic book creators, Kevin Eastman.
Looking forward to what's next.

Saw Atomic Blonde (second tlme). Has a fitting soundtrack, some great action scenes, and a solid story. Excellent action filled performance by Charlize Theron. The fight scenes are excellent. Feel true, not like a comic book.

I feel like your eldest nephew is correct, yes

and I love that this movie has set that up
Spoiler: show
she has that gnarly Krang-like face, she has pink glasses, controls a bunch of computer... things, her name Ultrom is apparently connected, and she's the one who summons Shredder in the mid-credits scene -- he was always Krang's bitch in the cartoons; the theory I saw postulated that the parasitical Krang is inside her already and leading her to do evil

Doing another viewing of The Last Jedi. My most anticipated movie of 2017, but it always turned out to be a disappointment to me. On the positive side, the movie looks amazing, and some of the performances are excellent (Adam Driver especially). The humor, the story, the plotlines, range from slightly off key, to poor. Still I genuinely love Star Wars, and I think this is my fifth time seeing this movie, easily the most for any 2017 movie. Not seeing it while watching the full year of 2017 was not going to happen.

Perhaps you should watch it six or seven more times to be sure.

My opinion won’t change on the movie. Too late for that.

I still get more enjoyment out of it than most similarly rated movies, or other movies where I would be negative of the humor, the story and the plotlines. Maybe part Star Wars nostalgia, partly because I can enjoy space operas even when I’m critical of them (watched plenty of poor Star Trek episodes or movies twice).

They are now looking for a master codebreaker, in one of the worst setups possible, from Maz Kanata.

i think i saw it four time at least? dont remember. If i get around to watch the films in order, ill eventually see it again.

I agree with you, the movie looks great but ultimately it fails big time, specially in the humor side. Really off key and poor. Im remembering now the poe call at the start of the movie and damn that was straight of a very bad snl sketch.

Indeed, and the bad humor just continues. Rey clumsily around Ahch-To annoying the natives, several of the scenes on Canto Bight (all weirdly mixed up with how that place in all seriousness is the scumhole of the universe), the humor surrounding the little birds on the Falcon, and several other scenes.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Canto Bight as a planet or as a concept is fine, but the execution is abysmal. All mixed up with bad acting and bad humor. Even the political part, is clumsily portrayed.
