Rewatched The Hitman’s Bodyguard. Fairly mediocre with some good and/or funny scenes.

Watching a documentary called The Work, which has started excellently.

«Set inside a single room in Folsom Prison, three men from the outside participate in a four-day group-therapy retreat with a group of incarcerated men for a real look at the challenges of rehabilitation.»

Exactly 100 movies left from 2017 after this, 58 first time viewings, and 42 rewatches ahead, including what I think are the best movies of the year.

Big movie day. Saw the documentary Faces, Places by Agnes Varda and JR. Very highly rated about their travels in France. Was entertained, but maybe not as highly as its reputation suggested.

Started on The Ballad of Lefty Brown, and was a bit surprised by how much of a b movie it left me feeling. But very solid performance by Bill Pullman. Will finish it later.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Don’t understand the point of that dig, but I’ve actually never seen it.

Did see the 2017-version of Jumanji. It has some strenghts and weaknesses, but the chemistry and humor between The Rock, Kevin Hart and Jack Black is outstanding. Karen Gillan also delivers a fine performance.

Also started on King Arthur: Legend of the Sword together with my wife. Guy Ritchie film, filled with action and fantasy. Not exactly a classic King Arthur story. Quite entertaining though.

Will finish that (together) and the western (alone) tomorrow.

That’s a shame. Will be a while until I plan to see it, but I thought it looked interesting. Have already gotten it.
