I think this came up yesterday but Dark Matter is better than God’s Dice, which I think is at the bottom of Pearl Jam’s hard driving rockers - except for big wave and supersonic, which feel like they should be in their own category

I like it more than Get It Back; I think GIB captured a bare-bones Pearl Jam aesthetic that we were all desperately missing at the time, and that feeling of relief that they can still write that kind of song caused it to become overrated in the longterm

Dark Matter is not better than Blood but Id probably be more likely to listen to Dark Matter if it came on

Big Wave is a MUCH better attempt at a "fun" song than Supersonic

Dark Matter is better than Get Right but Get Right is more fun.

Dark Matter is better thanArmy Reserve but Army Reserve is more emotionally complex

I actually like Olé a lot, but I agree with that ranking; I think Olé is silly but again, I find it to be a stylish and authentic expression of Ed's Ramones obsession (one that I don't share generally)

i dont think i have a bigger gap in a song between how much i dislike the first and kind of love the second half of a song

I feel that way about quite a bit of late Pearl Jam (Johnny Guitar springs to mind)

The lyrics rub me wrong (stupendously rare with Ed) but a decent portion of the music does too.
