I watched the full Nymphomaniac over the weekend. Don't think I can really muster up any sort of opinion about what I saw. Except maybe that Rammstein songs always make me laugh.

I watched the new mutant turtle ninja teenager movie yesterday. It was what a tmnt movie should be; Fun.

Easily the most badass turtles yet to grace the big screen. My daughter and I both laughed quite a bit, so it did well in that regard as well. It balanced the kid/adult entertainment very well, much like Lego Movie was able to do.

Considering some of the things left open by the end, if the movie makes money, I'm pretty sure there will be a sequel.

Raphael was a beast. They actually did a great job showcasing all 4 of them pretty evenly.

Some of the acting sucked, and I don't know why they didn't seek out a better April O'Neil, but that's about all the more I'm willing to pick at a sugar and spice pop action flick.

The beginning seems to drag on forever and I end up changing the channel. I think people either like this movie or Tombstone and I am a big fan of the latter...Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer were outstanding, IMO. Other than Field of Dreams, I never really liked any of Costner's movies so that might be part of the reason why I lose interest. heh.

I actually am not. Before Sunset is very good and Before Midnight is excellent but I attribute their success mostly to Hawke and Delpy. I found Boyhood to be a flatly directed, awkwardly assembled, poorly written and acted, thoughtless, empty celebration of the American status quo. I really can't imagine what other people are getting from it outside of simply recognizing themselves in the protagonist.

Ha, I’m the opposite. I’ve never liked Tombstone, and never believed Russell or Kilmer in the roles (even though I like them both as actors). On the other hand, I thought Costner and Quaid gave amazing, convincing performances.

But the movies are very, very different. Tombstone is basically just pulpy fun that focuses specifically on the O.K. Corral incident, whereas Wyatt Earp is a sprawling, psychological character study that traces the roots of who Earp was and treats the O.K. Corral incident as merely a significant event in a long life.

wow. i remember when i first brought up that i didn't care for Tombstone...for the same reasons as you. i was almost tarred, feathered and run out of town.

My cab driver gave me a long speech this morning about the three films that shaped his life: Disney's Fantasia, Chaplin's The Great Dictator, Costner's Waterworld.
