I watched The Equalizer 3 last night with my Dad. He really enjoyed it and I thought it was alright. It was entertaining enough, but very silly and self serious.

I only saw the second one, and it was very silly and self serious as well. And also very boring.

They're boomer fantasy movies.

The old guy's still got it and murders all the disrespectful young people.

It's the only logical explanation.

I went into Bottoms basically blind, I don't think I'd even seen a trailer. After not liking Shiva Baby, I was maybe even a little prejudiced against it, but trag's quote suggested it was dissimilar so I was ready.

At first, I thought it was dumb, then I started to get the tone and realized it was a spoof, then realized it was even more than that. Still a spoof, but with a real story and a real heart driving it. It doesn't always walk that line perfectly, occasionally dipping too far into one of the other. But for most of the movie there are just so many jokes and enough of them hit that I was enjoying it.

By the end, I was fully on board. The big scene at the end is pretty perfect, very funny and wild.

Ruby Cruz as Hazel is the standout. She's like the third or fifth main character but she kind of drives the whole movie.

Go see it one day when you're in a good mood

Fantastic. Hackman was brilliant as always. I needed a great feel-good movie today and this really delivered.

I didn’t realized that Bottoms movie was made by the guy that did Shiva Baby. I loved that one.
Very exited to see this new movie

Over the edge.

I remember watching this on HBO when it first came on there (80-81 maybe). It was definitely timely but I also loved it for the cheap trick playing during it

Don't sleep on Marshawn Lynch, player!
…the football player? What’s happening here?
He's in the movie! And he's amazing!

Bottoms is so great. I loved it. Had such a great time. There is a little inconsistency of tone but it's a very small issue.
Here it is, yes. Well said. And, yeah, he's pretty dang funny in this

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
