The last time was on The Criterion Channel, so I really got my hopes up. But alas it was not to be.

Watched Goodbye Christopher Robin. Even if it was a family movie, it always had a dark side to it. Showed how A.A. Milne suffered from being in WW1, and how Christopher Robin, had issues with his fame, following the publication on Winnie The Pooh. The acting was fine, and the little kid was a gem. Wife loved it, while I can only say I enjoyed it. I did think of Christopher Robin when I was a child, what was it really like for him, and how did he inspire Winnie The Pooh, well, question answered.

Also saw A Dog’s Purpose, and I didn’t get this at all. Absolutely filled with cliches, and a reincarnating dog. The narration was awful, and always remained the same.

The Wife had a terrific performance by Glenn Close, but the story was beyond any sort of believability. A woman so torn down by this men’s world, that she writes Nobel worthy prose, but lets her cheating husband release it is his name. When only the two characters that know this truth are in a scene, they still act like he is the author for most of the movie. So poor.

Have started Battle Of The Sexes, and will finish later this evening.
… not a big fan of it. There’s a good story here, but it plays like a quaint comedy. It’s fine/ok though. Was lightly entertained.

Christopher Robin Milne was the son of the author. He had the toys depicted in the first book. A character based on him is called Christopher Robin in the book.

However, his parents always called him Billy Moon, and the boy in the book did not have that nickname, to separate the true boy, from the fiction.

Billy Moon sounds like Christopher Robin's sadistic alter ego. He haunts the hundred acre wood...

Pooh and company can't understand how Christopher can be so nice one day, then absolutely terrifying the next.

No I don’t think I’ve ever seen that all the way through but I remember vague clips of it. I know about it I should probably watch it. What were you gonna say about it?

It's a similar movie to Joker is all. I think the general consensus is that it's better.

Well yeah probably. I think I would’ve liked joker more if all the Batman lore stuff weren’t shoehorned in.

Joker was alright, but yeah King of Comedy for sure. Joker was very clearly inspired by it.

Watched Dirty Harry tonight with my parents. Honestly, I was expecting better. I'll probably watch Magnum Force soon as I've read it adds a different dimension to the character.
