how long has ed been doing this start-low-then-work-up-higher method of reaching the high notes? trather than coming in direct on the note (and missing it) he starts low and then gradually ups the note so he can't miss, because he just stops once he gets to the note
i feel like i have only seen this tonight for the first time
how long has this tic / trick been part of his 'hiding the fact i can't sing anymore' arsenal?

still in shock at how awful the drums / tempo were on that GTF and they are already in evenflow and it's possibly more terrible
Matt Cameron should be able to do this well. He has so much control with SG.
it's just always astonishing how badly he plays with PJ

so much to say about this horrendous version of Daughter
1) Too Fast
2) Ed's bizarre 'notfitto' speedy early delivery lyric quirk
3) Near zero-build up into the jam
4) Whatever that mangled pathetic attempt at an anti-trump improv was
5) That horrible transition from WMA jam into It's OK

Mccready needs a special guitar pedal that plays a laugh track for ed’s Old man jokes and in song references.

here I am thinking 'Got Some' is their best track of the night so far
maybe they need to figure out first and then embrace who they are each evening
tonight they are suck-ass spritz-rock PJ
and that's fine
they just should stick to the Matt Cameron albums then and let their TigerBeat side ring free
quit bastardizing the Daves' and Jack albums
save those for another night when you actually have something to say

i thought they did too actually
it seems they peaked there and SafeCo 2 and now are doing a somewhat flimsy victory lap

It's almost as if taking a two week break between shows are leading to some consistency issues. I think that's the biggest difference between modern live PJ and the classic era. The consistency. They're still capable of great shows, but some real stinkers too.

I’ve found this to be true of almost every 90s band that’s still going, for obvious reasons. I’d say their batting average is still fairly high. That could be rose colored glasses, I grant you, since the one show I caught this year seems to have been the best one (Safeco II) Guess I lucked out.

Never thought I would say this but you have a better chance of hearing “Evil Little Goat” than that.
Yeah, I was trying to think about what rarity I would actually really want and that’s it.
Tremor Christ is what I would choose, Brother if it has to a Lost Dog. More likely we’ll get Sad, OTE, or Undone.
I have won.
