As long as it produces music that moves and excites you, you shouldn't have to worry too much about what beat from an obscure soul song was overmodulated beyond recognition to make up the rhythm base.

Autotune is another big reason why I can't listen to Kanye. Other artists use it and I can deal with it. It's all a matter of degree. But the way, the extent to which Kanye uses it and flaunts it, is another thing that turns me off.
