DBT stuff is pretty different. I'd start with HERE WE REST and then go sequentially through the rest of his albums then back to DBT.

Listening to the Cooley/Hood/Isbell Live at the Shoals Theatre release from 2014, just a damn fine and fun one.

As far as an Isbell listening experience, I gravitate toward chronology for all artists... even if I find them late in their career I want to immediately start at the beginning. Plus they're great DBT albums.

He only sings on a handful of DBT stuff though. It's just not a good representation of who he is as a complete artist. Otherwise, I agree with you.

anyone received the new record yet? Hoping mine arrives today. Wondering what you good people think.

I've liked all four of the released songs quite a bit. I already think it's a stronger record than Reunions.

Can't wait for the whole thing.
