im loving the middle jam in Never Destination.....reminds me so much of BYR
His guitar is too jangly! Now him and Ed’s guitar is jangly! Too much jangle. Not meshing.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Why do you hate Pearl Jam?Strat wrote:Long Way is good but they need to figure out that transition from the solo to the outro. Major change in guitar tone that seemed fumbled there.
Also, not loving stones tone these last few shows.
It’s a pretty accurate representation of what they sounded like live at ohana at least. Big drums and bass.guitar_davey wrote:I've listened to lots of PJ bootlegs over the years, but I'm not as well versed as some of you on which years sound better. That said, I feel like this has way more low end and an overall more "live" sound than any of their previous bootlegs. I had this blasting in the car this morning and the punch of the bass and drums really pumped me up for the day.
Even noticeable in the YouTube videos. A welcomed change to the mix.Strat wrote:It’s a pretty accurate representation of what they sounded like live at ohana at least. OK, so it's not just me hearing it.Monkey_Driven wrote:Even noticeable in the YouTube videos. When the day comes when they fuck up Seven O'Clock, it's not going to be bad, it's going to be catastrophic. Lots of words. Man, their excitement for playing Seven O'Clock makes even more sense to me now. What a euphoric live tune. All the goosebumps!
he doesnt do that during the song but after they finished it. I wonder if the band said to ed to not do that....Jeff said in some interview he wasnt a fan i think?dad wrote:for anyone who was in attendance, did the crowd try to get Ed to do the call and response during Corduroy?
it sounds that way on the boot.
The crowd did not try to get him to do it. The crowd sang the next verse when they expected it to start and didn’t stop, but there seemed to be no effort at a call and response. I haven’t listened to the bootleg yet, but that is my recollection - jamming like they were going to do the call and response but then not doing it. I thought that ended up working out pretty well.VinylGuy wrote:he doesnt do that during the song but after they finished it.
