The chorus reminds me of this song.

Man, it just is. That whole album is a snooze fest, but I hate that song like most people here hate Amongst the Waves.Chris_H_2 wrote:PHATJ wrote:Unthought Known is terrible
that and lightning bolt are really the only 2 songs that have any staying power from those albums, especially live.PHATJ wrote:Man, it just is. Lighting Bolt is a pretty good live song. It was completely neutered on the album.Chris_H_2 wrote:that and lightning bolt are really the only 2 songs that have any staying power from those albums, especially live.PHATJ wrote:Man, it just is. ATW is one of the couple songs I like from the last two albums.mikejasond wrote:Why do people hate ATW and UK? They're both very good
Correct. And every song on Gigaton is Lighting Bolt on acid, shrooms, all the beers, whatever pills the kids and old folks are taking these days, gummy bears, Dr. Pepper, rythem, melody, bass, sex, and Nintendo. It’s that much better X plenty.ABNorman wrote:Unthought Known was done again, and better, as Lightning Bolt, so every time I listen to it now I tend to switch over.

Because they are weak, wannabe "anthems" that fall short of their lofty ambitions?mikejasond wrote:Why do people hate ATW and UK? They're both very good
For me it's Marker in the sand. The verses are so dirty and aggressive and then the chorus comes in with all the impact of a wet fart. It feels like two very different songs slapped together.sweeper wrote:Severed Hand is the ultimate blue balls song. The drums and guitars in the first minute sound like they're setting up for something amazing. Ed comes in and there's a great pace to the song. Then the chorus comes and you think they're going somewhere majestic and it's a total dud.
