Tom gets it. American CEO. Matsson thinks he can control him. Mencken thinks Tom was the one who called it for him. Roy siblings all lose the game
I could see that.

I'm predicting there will be a scene with Tom and Greg? that will get me a little choked up. I'm going to miss those guys.

We get a 30-year time jump and the last episode is Tom Jr. trying to get Iverson kicked off the board over the failure of Kalispitron Part XVI. Iverson goes to his father for advice, but Once Upon a Time in Shaolin finally leaked so Kendall can’t be bothered. Roman has Geri’s head in a jar like on Futurama. Greg? and Jess got married and are well adjusted with a beautiful family and life together. Ewan is still alive at 115 and is still spitting fire. Karl actually defeated Menken in his bid for re-election thanks to all the stuff he did with cable in the ‘90s. Waystar-Royco finally falls after it’s revealed that the idea for Roderick was stolen from a cartoonist who befriended Bart and Lisa when he was living in the street, and he closes the company out of spite.

Before anyone scoffs, I did jokingly predict the end of the Battle of Winterfell in the Game of Thrones thread: http://forums.theskyiscrape.com/viewtop ... 3#p1339023

Fwiw, I am really pumped going into this episode not caring about the “horse race” at all. Just can’t wait to live with these characters for another hour and a half.

Really good. Very true to the show right through to the end

I went back and watched that and yeah, it's funny. Maybe Kendall is too upset to push a button so they had to come up with a way to get someone on the elevator with him? awkward

I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I'm sure we'll all feel weird and a little guilty about it a couple years from now, but by golly was it fun in the moment. It's really not that good, but it was very good at making me feel bad. The one thing it was really really good at, maybe the best in TV, was one-liners. Just weird, almost throwaway lines that are terrifically funny and ended up sticking in my head for weeks, months, years.
It really wasn't very subtle or nuanced or deep or anything that I love about other favorite shows. But it was unique and it really worked, it was really good at doing exactly what it set out to do. Just gotta be willing to go along for the ride

Thank you argo.
But the performances are also terrific. Very memorable side characters as well.

The final confrontation between the siblings looked and sounded like something they came up with in 10 minutes. Kendall actually saying "I'm the eldest boy" out loud, my god. Everything just had to be painfully unsubtle in the lamest fucking way. This season had me fooled with how good some of its episodes were

That ep definitely was among the weaker this season and almost felt like a dress rehearsal versus a finished product when comparing to the two episodes prior (which were all-time great).

I am finding it difficult to properly rate it and think multiple rewatches will be a must. But, as a whole, this season was outstanding. I’m down to watch just about anything if it’s executed at such a high level. Succession has always done so, for the most part, and kept me emotionally invested via the comedy and power of the acting at times.

Barry kept me going for the technical pieces. Unfortunately, that show’s final season blunted most of my emotional investment.
