I'm not sure this whole "youth = hopeful" concept is true. I was wwwwaaaayyyyy more cynical as a teenager than I am now.

I think I was equally cynical, I was just more pissed. Now I just hold it in and grumble.

I have a mild acceptance that there's something for everyone, and everyone will make the right choice for themselves at any given time.

Retirement homes are going to be hilarious in the next few decades. Generations who were exposed to much broaders, wilder and louder music will eventually age. And if it's true that people continue to listen to specific bands through their life, I can't wait to be walking down the hall and hearing some dude blasting some Tupac or Van Halen.

Just received a few 2014 bootlegs from 10C -- Oslo, Leeds, and Milwaukee. All of the discs have those little blips between tracks, but the Milwaukee show has full-on two-second gaps between every single song -- not little sector-boundary error thingies -- it sounds like they burned the disc using the track-at-once method, so the applause sounds like: "Ahhhhhhhh"--two seconds of dead silence--"aahhhhhh.." There is also this weird weblike pattern on the back of the first disc suggesting some kind of warping, causing about 4 songs to pop continuously all the way through.

Am I right in thinking that the "Nugs" guys that produce these CD's are basically just a bunch of hippies with a CD burner operating out of their basement?

You're much better off just making your own CDs.

I'm discovering that. These will probably be my last CD purchases from 10C.

How can you turn yourback on a company with a name like Nugs, though?

Write a polite note to info@tenclub.net. They'll probably send you replacements. Then report back.

They will tell you to contact Nugs. Their customer service is very inconsistent.

I wrote a polite email to shipping@tenclub.net, which is where the website directed me for merchandise returns. I imagine they don't return emails on Sunday so hopefully I hear something tomorrow. The only other time I contacted 10C for customer service was when my "Vault 2" CD got lost in the mail, and they sent me a new one within days.

My copy of the Moline boot arrived missing disc 2.

10C referred me to Nugs. They weren't too quick to reply, but finally did. Weeks passed and after sending me the entire Memphis boot accidentally, I finally got Moline disc 2.

Most of my experiences with 10c resolving merchandise issues have been prompt and positive, but I've also never had to deal with some of the more exclusive items like vinyl.

Just got an email from 10C -- I was about to be impressed with their promptness, until I realized it was an email to let me know that my order (which arrived three days ago) had shipped.
