It'll be interesting to see the takes here when ya'll find out the same thing happened to Beto in Texas. Harris county, overwhelmingly blue, 'ran out of paper' at 7:30 in the morning at many locations creating a scenario where folks either couldn't vote or had provisionals tossed.

This was trending today and looking into it, it looks like it’s technically possible to elect a non-house member as speaker. I was Looking at the house.gov website.
