Surprised how much I enjoyed this song after not really liking the snippet. Don’t think it’s a great PJ song in the classic vein but it certainly has more focus and immediacy than anything they’ve done in awhile. Seems like a modern PJ take on a Binaural song to me. Also really like that Ed sits back in the mix a bit and is borderline indecipherable on the first listen…

I can honestly look back to the best of PJ, like "Go", and say that I didn't have a clue what most of the words were until I read the lyrics; Ed has always had the "another instrument" approach to singing and still does; at his best I do think he really cares about lyrics but mainly it was the vibes... always the vibes

did anybody else want Ed to go "ewww WA-Ah-Ah-Ah!" after the intro drums before the guitars come in?

I kind of wanted him to "freestyle" through the last chorus instead of going note for note

good enough for me. enjoyed Gigaton quite a bit, love DoTC, this is a nice little banger though.

Solo bursts out real nice, once someone deciphered the lyrics I really enjoy the "this blame...takes shape...still everybody else pays.."

Haven’t checked the lyrics yet but I’m loving the chorus a lot.

Honestly, I'm not that enthusiastic about it. Better lead single than DotC for sure. From the snippets, I had hoped it went actually somewhere. It's a little same-y for my taste. Eddie's vox are the low point for sure. The solo is cool, tho. For this whole "return to form" talk, PJ never really sounded like this before. So, it's a little weird to me. If this was some other band and not PJ, I might laugh at it. Ah, well. Still interested in the album as a whole.

I like this song more and more. Reminds me of Vs/Vitalogy eras but yet still sounds like something new and fresh. Best first single since World Wide Suicide.
