This song contains no worst parts.

You are, but it's all relative. Like saying a certain orgasm is the worst you've had.

This bridge is silly and happy, but it's a deliberate light/dark contrast with the rest. Someone would've said that any bright bridge was the worst part of the song, but it would've been fairly unoriginal and boring without that contrast.

It's completely neutered.

It is the worst part but it doesn't mean it's a bad part.

This record plays with this kind of contrasts a lot.

See, jambi gets it, I don't know why Chud doesn't.

The bridge is full of organ. I know, it is. But that's another contrast. Hard rock smashing against pop. In Backspacer I felt that both aspects of the band were mediocre: the rock wasn't there, and the pop didn't get poppy enough. I feel as if this album has this constant tug-of-war going on between light and dark, and it's fraught and imperfect (and probably reflects BoB and the band's tastes clashing), but that provides some of its interest for me. I don't feel either the rock or the pop is diluted this time.

Well if the bridge wasn't the worst part, it would mean another part had to be. ;)

But the bridge does kinda suck. Too long too. Maybe if it was shorter like the brain of j one.

And also, every PJ song has a worst part.

Always something, and never nothing. Isn't that the way we're taught to be?

That was so much better when I thought it was "dream".

Yup. But didn't he sing "dream" at Wrigley? Probably not.

I can't think of a cooler rock song from these guys since Evacuation.
