Skipped the philly shows for now as I wanted to hear the hartford show I attended. What a strong Pendulum here. About 5 songs in...

I think that's probably the best version of Pendulum from leg 1.

Damn Eddie sounds awful on Worcester II. The rest of the band was really on for the encore though, which makes up for it.

So, real talk here: Has there been one of these shows yet that's been worth its $16.98 price tag? Any one that hasn't been fraught with technical errors and vocal struggles? Not one that's "passable" or just good in comparison to the other 2013 shows, but a show that is genuinely good by the band's standards. I would like to eventually have live versions of the new material, and some of the rarities from these shows look pretty enticing, but I am a cautious buyer these days when it come to live Pearl Jam.

Agree. Hartford has the best version of Pendulum on the east coast.
I think Charlotte has the tightest overall show.

In my opinion, no (and I've bought a few).
Charlotte comes closest but there's still a few moments of shakiness.
They were finally getting it together by the end of the first leg so I expect the leg 2 shows will be more consistent. I'd wait til some of those are out.

In what ways does it suck? I haven't listened to any shows yet.

Considering that Pittsburgh was the first Lightning Bolt show, it was very solid. Surprisingly solid. I'm not saying it's a must-listen, but it shouldn't be thought of as a sloppy early leg 1 show.
I liked the Baltimore boot better than I liked the concert.

Pittsburgh is good yeah...and Hartford too. Overall these are good to great shows, expect maybe for Buffalo and Worcester.

I haven't bought any yet for the same reason.
I've been watching and listening to the YouTube videos, understanding that the band doesn't sound as good in that format, but still, all the new material just sounds off, esp Getaway (toned down sucks!).
The only new tune that I like live is Pendulum after hearing a few different versions, but that's also my favorite song on the new record so go figure...

Hartford and charlottesville seems like purchases. But it seems the quality of shows got better in philly and picked up. By pearl jam logic and there past tours, the 2nd leg of the us tour should be pretty good.

New Orleans seems cool, its shorter and the set list is good.
Getaway sounds weird..im not sure why...are the guitars here toned down?

Yeah, both My Father's Son and Getaway are being played in a lower key live.

My fathers son too?
I liked that one live, dont remember which show...the first time they played it. The second one was a mess.

It's the best song on the album but it's been a complete mess live so far.
They're saving the definitive version for Adelaide, I presume...

It's not just the downtuning with MFS, it's a complete mess. Just about everyone in the band fucks up.

I'm sure they've been rehearsing it like mad this week.
