Right?
It's not pink. Pull yourself together man!
I'm not gettin' a red vibe from it. Is my laptop screen at the wrong angle?
It's just a red lamp like an 80's cop would throw on top of his car before a chase through the mean streets of San Fran with his ethnic partner.
You're right, and there's a lyric in the song about cops being after him. This is going to be a deliberate 80s camp fest. The video might even have a car chase! Please let there be a car chase!

I'm still in the "I can see that they are doing whatever they are doing very well, here, and it doesn't affect me in the least" range. I can listen to this and recognize that it's hummable and whatever without feeling anything the same as I can a Rob Thomas or Sheryl Crowe song. I can even understand why someone would call themselves a Sheryl Crowe fan. There's just nothing about that particular type of music that offends or moves me whatsoever.

I saw a comedian a looooong time ago who had a big to-do about his ex-wife. Part of it was about how great she was at tearing him down, and the big example was her telling him "when you're inside me, I feel nothing."

There's a very, very tiny sliver of musical styling that actually fails to affect me, and unfortunately this one lands well inside the green.

When this song is inside me, I feel nothing.

Because I've literally loved everything I've heard. This is quite a serious potential dump on what's happened here.

hlniv wrote:Nope. Still not feeling it. And I have kids, I can be sensitive and shit, I love slow Pink Floyd, I can get into some of the GNR style power ballads, but this,.... this... this ain't that. This is making me feel older than I know I am. Can anyone imagine this being played live and stone sitting there with a straight face? Jeff closing his eyes, getting into it, looking up at the sky, etc... What band is this?

I'm all for trying new things, I love that about this group. But this isn't a new thing. It's just a new thing for them. Now, they seem to do it well, but I'm just shocked that they thought it deserved to be created.
this is pretty much where im at w/ this thing
