Invincible in particular I think you should power through. Like Kaius said there are so many plot twists that actually begin maybe 40 issues earlier. The series also gets better as it goes. It's really a rewarding read. DO IT.

I blasted through the entire run in like 3 weeks. It would've been faster if I had all the books when I needed them.

I began reading Swamp Thing. Is it good?

I've always wanted to read Swamp Thing. I hear that comic is amazing. I just remember him briefly from that Darkest Night series or Brightest Day. I need to read his comic though. You should report back how you like it.

First two numbers seem great. They seem to look back to the previous story a lot.

So why is that dude so ugly? I need my heroes looking sexy with their man packages bulging and what not.

I read the first few issues of the New 52 Swamp Thing and enjoyed them but for some reason I didn't stick with it. Animal Man too. I plan on going back at some point and catch up but I have a 100 issues of Invincible to read first under enormous peer pressure!

It's total cheese at first, at least I thought so, but stick with it and it gets awesome.

Probably a money-saving move by DC if I had to guess.

Jae Lee's work on the Dark Tower comics is fantastic. It really works in that setting. Not so much on the DC books.
