I still enjoy the show despite its shortcomings. Some of these season 5 episodes are worse than I remembered though.
And that's why Damon was so adamant that ABC give an end date.Monkey_Driven wrote:The entire Walt/Michael storyline is product of its time. Too many episodes a season lead everything being too bloated.
Just watch Leftovers and you'll know.tragabigzanda wrote:I think this is a good insight. It's still the best network drama/genre series of all time. It was a landmark show and a genuine achievement.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:I still enjoy the show despite its shortcomings. Some of these season 5 episodes are worse than I remembered though.
This may be a dumb question, but had any show prior done flashbacks/backstories in the same way? Or at least the amount and time dedicatedepilogue wrote:It's still the best network drama/genre series of all time. Maybe? Probably? I don't know. Certainly none of them did it as effectively.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:This may be a dumb question, but had any show prior done flashbacks/backstories in the same way? Yeah I’ve never really researched it, but have often wondered. I think it’s definitely more common now since Lost.epilogue wrote:Maybe? Probably? I don't know. Season 5 is where I am now, and it's really frustrating. They dropped several characters that they've been establishing since the beginning (Rose and Bernard, Claire), and I'm apparently supposed to give a shit about Miles and Daniel and Scarlett, who came to the island with the crew coming to kill everyone.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:I still enjoy the show despite its shortcomings. Am I supposed to care that Daniel was in love with Charlotte?
