I mean, how the fuck are we supposed to know? Only 4 episodes have aired!
Because you're awesome and have seen said 4 episodes and I have not?
I was being playful.

S3 is more Lynch than Twin Peaks 1 & 2 so far. By which I mean that it's slow and methodical and horrifying and gorgeous and strange. The story picks up 25 years after the events of the Original Series. Some things have been addressed. Some things have not yet. Some things might not ever. We'll see. But I honestly don't really care. So far these episodes have been so brilliant and engaging and satisfying that I honestly don't care if they resolve anything.

My memory is, no. I remember that we knew the kid was Andy's.

Same. Though I have been dying to see how the town and the characters have evolved and moved on since the events of the Laura Palmer case. A few of these have already been hinted at (RR does to-go orders now, Shelly has a kid, Bobby is a deputy, The Roadhouse is possibly under new ownership but definitely has a new name. Jacques still tends bar there...) I'm as excited about watching happenings around town again as I am to unpack all the symbols and themes and emotions.

Does the Roadhouse have a new name? And that's not Jacques. Jacques is fucking dead. That's Jean-Michel behind the bar now.

It looks the same from the outside to me, and the interior looks pretty much the same too. Plus my IRL experiences of how businesses in small towns work leads me believe that a name change is more likely than a new bar in town.

But is the name dropped in an episode? I don't understand why we think the name is different. Maybe I missed something in one of the episodes.

Well, yeah. But that's on the front of the Roadhouse in the original series, too. It's always been there.
