This is sad. Glens getting a ton of shit for doing this. He's actually really devastated about Bowies death. Wish the haters knew how much.
why is he getting all the backlash?

Just some grouches saying he was co-opting Bowies death for his own end/publicity.
He wasn't at all &a even a cursory glance at his Twitter will show that. He's really upset about it & did the only thing he knows how to do in that situation. Just play.
Bummer. If there is a guy who doesnt want publicity at all, thats glen. I saw him in PJ 20. He was so greatfull and happy to be there...and his sets were magical.

The Lazarus video freaked me out a bit... I can't imagine a better song being released this year. What a prolific artist, though, up to the very last effort!

Been great to go into the back catalog throughout the past week... Sucks it took his death to do so

I agree... especially the passive/aggressive peer edits.

I'm afraid of you, LV... I'm afraid of RM... I'm afraid I can't help it... I'm afraid I can't...

Not especially, but it was her idea to spin Blackstar this morning. After my DB binge, though, she was surprised at just how much of his music she knew. Her favorites are the Underworld soundtrack collab, as well as the mid-90's stuff.

That's his whole thing in a nutshell. There's always gonna be naysayers I guess

It would be a mistake not to mourn Bowie with the online community who introduced much of his career to me in the first place. RIP Mr. Bowie (and hello Malice.) :peace:

Listening to The Next Day for the first time.

Blackstar is definitively better, but TND is still very good. Some really good cuts on there, particularly "Valentine's Day".

Yeah, its a good album. Valentine and If you can see mee are a good pair. But there is a looseness in Blackstar that i just adore. Thats how i actually like Bowie's music.

And i love the production.

Yeah, it's hard to argue with Blackstar. One of his best albums for sure.
