How was him going up in a self-made, steam powered rocket supposed to prove the earth is flat?

I’m never clear why people are so invested in proving it, anyway.

Like, if you believe the earth is secretly flat...ok, I guess? It literally doesn’t change your life at all.

I just imagine an entire community of people dreaming about the moment they can finally go “we did it! We proved that the earth is flat! (Checks watch) Anyway I’m late for work.”

And back to my question, it’s like drinking a glass of Pepsi to prove the sky is blue. The one has nothing to do with the other.

Now there's a theory I can get behind, Burt. The sun is just an intergalactic kid with a magnifying glass, playing the long game.

I remain convinced he was going to start the camera didn't work for some reason but he saw it and can confirm that it's flat.

I'm pretty sure he didn't really think the earth was flat and was just drumming up publicity for his dumb stunts.
