Totally.

What complicates it more is that I basically agree with nothing he says regarding the band.

Another thing this video continues i s the Peter Gabriel-esque stop-motion animation stuff from LW, although that was more overt.

For the most part......although once in a while someone sneaks in a heavily tattooed woman and that has always been a turn off for me.

imagine the idea that art might have a message or that music has a meaning, or that a video full of social commentary might have tried to make a statement. I mean, that's just fucking crazy...

Its looks like some old guys rocking in front of a video projector stolen from the band of college kids who play the bar down my street. I understand the images aren't random, but thematically aren't we hovering somewhere around high school art class here? If Pearl Jam isn't putting that much thought into this stuff, why should we?

But I will say that I don't think whatever statement the video may be making has any baring on the song, itself. At least, not in this case. The song is still about what it is about. This video doesn't shed new light on its meaning. Or expand the context of the story.

Well, exactly. If this is what you think, why bother? There's a hot girls thread to frequent.

I never even said the video was that bad, I just don't think there is really anything to analyze.
