I mean, at least the "yeah yeah yeaaahhhhhhss" and the oscillating "oooooooo"s are better than the "heeeeeeeeee"s and added vowels in other spots. Hopefully wotman encouraged him to nix that crap on the album.

I believe the revenue from streaming services is paltry at best, but it depends on their agreement with the record label, in part. So, from the perspective of building hype and # of streams, the pre album singles do much better as you say. I just don't know that it's very accretive to the bottom line. Of course, artists' revenue these days comes from touring, merchandise, endorsements, partnerships, etc, and NOT from record sales/streams.
