So have we pinpointed why Chud is selling off his vinyl? It's his coke habit, right?

Swung by Rough Trade before my writer's group tonight.

Snagged Angel Olsen's "My Woman" and Patti Smith's "Horses."

got this reissue in the mail today. still kicking myself for not buying an original years ago, even when it was in the clearance bin for months.

Nice!

Their debut was one of the first records I owned. Bought it at their show. They were so good on those first 2 tours.

agreed. stumbled across them at bonnaroo in 05 in a late night set and stuck around because they were just that magnetic. saw them a month or so later here opening for kings of leon, where i also bought their record. ended up seeing them one more time that tour, then the in-the-round show for this record a year or two later. ten silver drops didn't resonate with me as much as the first one, but that in-the-round show was phenomenal. after the one brother went on to school of seven bells, obviously it wasn't the same, that last record just kinda stunk for the most part. school of seven bells was pretty good, though, i thought.

You pulled that right out of my life line. Not at Bonnaroo but opening for Kings and the In The Round tour. Exact same feelings about them.
