That's not how it works. Unless you looked at their roster before the season started and thought "Wow, this team is gonna be awesome" then it's not a problem with the league or the expansion format.
I am loving how Vegas has changed the way hockey is being played. They've used their speed when they have the puck to create gaps between the opposing teams forwards and defence, allowing for better east/west passing and they have perfected the defensive zone chip out as a transition play. Teams find it very hard to pinch while in the Vegas zone because of this. Gallant deserves coach of the decade, I've never seen a team, top to bottom be so dedicated to playing the same way and sticking to it.
Love this stat, though it made me feel bad for Strat.
Stanley Cup Playoffs series wins in the past 10 seasons:
VGK - 2
MIN - 2
CAR - 2
ARZ - 2
WPG/ATL - 2
NYI - 1
DAL - 1
CGY - 1
EDM - 1
TOR - 0
COL - 0
BUF - 0
CBJ - 0
FLA - 0
Vegas has many or more than 43.3% of the rest of the league.

Excited for game 7. Really pulling for The Caps.
Also, watching the later rounds makes it quite evident how far the Wild have to go to even be in the same competitive zone as these teams. The skill level is so much higher. The speed, the agility, the strength, the fight, the skill.....light years above a team that sneaks into the playoffs. its incredible to watch the level of play that is sustained throughout not only the game, but the entire run of the playoffs.
Wild with a new GM but its going to be a long long journey for us to become an actual legit contender.

I live in Vegas so I'm partially rooting for the Knights but really I'm rooting against Ovi and the Caps.

I’m mostly excited to learn who is paying to keep the Metro running for each DC home game.
Who closes a transit system at 11:30 anyway?

I’m happy for Caps fans. Also, Niskanen is from my home town, so I’m thrilled for him.

That was so good. Oshie interview at the end of the CBC broadcast was just too much, almost started crying. Him and OV, just pure hockey players.

So fucking excited for Ovi. My favorite player in the game for the last 10 years or so. he got it.
Also, if you are going to win the greatest achievement on the road away from your home crowd....Vegas is the place to do it!
