I saw Talking Heads Stop Making Sense in IMAX when it was back in theatres a few weeks ago. No one jumped up and danced, but it was quite the experience. A four-story tall David Byrne walking out at the start of the movie was something else. The real, present-day David Byrne himself apparently got up into the aisles and danced with the crowd when the movie played at New York Film Festival a few weeks ago. Music is for dancing, let the people dance

Music may be for dancing but film theaters aren't. I feel for the people in adjoining theaters who are surely getting a lot of bleedthrough hollering

It's a 4 theater building and Taylor was all they were showing. It was all tweens and younger, so no one was bothered.

Everyone screaming lyrics, talking freely, and taking pictures and videos of each other.

Movie etiquette did not seem to apply.

Well, I had to wear earplugs for the screaming.

I'm happy for all the Taylor Swift fans who missed out on concert tickets or couldn't afford them and can have this experience instead.

With that being said, what a nightmare to be in one of those theaters.

How about dancing our asses off at Killers of the Flower Moon instead. Let's try to make that a thing.

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Sitting in the theater with my nephew for a showing of Scream (96)

I love seeing old movies at the theater.

Bohemian Rhapsody

I love this movie. Only criticism is that they changed some of the facts and dates around, when that shouldn’t have been necessary. But I think they nailed the band and the music perfectly. Just a delight sitting through it again.

Cape Fear

Everything I knew about this movie was from that Simpsons episode, so it was very enjoyable to finally see all the spot-on references. Pretty crazy movie. It didn’t feel like a Scorsese movie, whatever that means. If I hadn’t had known, I never would have guessed that he directed it. It got a bit silly at times, but it was very fun to watch De Niro go all in and crank it up to 11.
