This is literally exactly the argument people are making about Statham in The Fate of the Furious.
People get attached. I guess I can understand it. But I really don't get it, y'know?

It's very dumb. Forgiveness exists. Humans change. This stuff isn't black and white.

Is it grey though? Like a certain potential last jedi?

I really want someone to notice that the argument is LITERALLY EXACTLY the same. I mean LITERALLY EXACTLY.

The whole redemption of Kylo angle is uninteresting to me.

I have no idea what happens in F&F, though. If you say it's exactly the same, then I acknowledge that. We good?

For all of the reasons that have already been discussed.

Was it someone here who said they think the mission will be Rey and luke trying to get kylo back to the light?
That could work.

The making Star Wars guy said that from his understanding the trailer isnt indicative of the tone and texture of the film and most of the footage is from the first act.

This does raise the possibility that luke and Rey don't spend the entire film on the island.
Star Wars has never shown time passing well at all. Luke was on dagobah for Months yet you can't tell that in watching it.
I wonder is that battle above ahch-to and they're forced to leave to join up with leia

Kind of hoping that the movie includes Kylo's redemption, and then just after he's redeemed himself Chewie takes him out for killing his boy

That's Shakespearean AS FUCK. I could totally go in for that.

Part of me wants what you're saying. But another part of me loves the idea that Rey & Luke are on the island until the end. It'll be harder for a Luke & Leia reunion that way. But it could be fun to see something different like that total isolation.

Either way... this thing is gonna be great!
