That battle scene...holy fuck. I started to genuinely panic during the part where John was getting smothered. Really well filmed.

I can't think of a big battle scene I like more. Maybe Braveheart.
Braveheart is actually kinda terrible. The only thing that even comes close to this is the opening of Saving Private Ryan. And I prefer this.
The only other TV show that matched that battle was Band of Brothers.

"Maybe" just means I think this episode belongs in the conversation. You don't think this was a largely cinematic episode? You wouldn't entertain this one being in the conversations with those other shows?

you gotta admit, Ramsay was a legendary villain, and the show is going to be worse without him. I was pretty bummed out when he died.

I dont think there is a villain right now that im truly frightened of.
