Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I'm confused. Do you think he's talented or not?

Anyway, I really loved him as Jim. I thought he was great in Promised Land, but his character had Jim mannerisms even if he was conceptually different. Same thing with The Muppets. IMDB tells me he was in Jarhead, but I don't remember that. Otherwise I don't think I've seen him do anything else.
My comment to VG was sarcasm. I thought that was clear since it came right on the heels of my comment to you. Sorry for the confusion.

I love Krasinski. I think he's incredibly talented and I've had no issue separating his other work from Jim.

Krasinski was good in 13 Hours. Not Jim-like at all.
