I have yet to play a great Sonic game, so I remain skeptical.

I can understand this. I'm likely to get it no matter what, since the original run of 2-D games are some of my very favorites, but I can see the price being a sticking point, especially if it weighs too heavily on remixed content.

I know it's not everybody's cup of tea, and the slew of half-assed stuff Sega has put over the last, say, 20 years, has definitely given the series a bad reputation. That said, I stand by my opinion that Sonic 1-3&K are some of the best 2-D platformers.

I never owned a Sega console, so I didn't play the early Sonic games fully until many years later. They have not aged well. It will be great if they can make a good game though. Will appease a lot of people.

Titanfall 2 looks very promising. I'm so happy they added a campaign.

I'm also excited, I missed the first one but heard it didn't have a long shelf-life because of the lack of campaign. Looks awesome, though.

Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline are just $4 on PSN right now. Are these any good?

Did not care for what I played of Hardline. I've never really enjoyed the franchise.

Presumably this would follow the pattern of being a free update for PC owners on Steam. Might hold off on my playthrough till there's more details.

Now that I've got my snazzy new video card, I've been working through my game backlog. Playing Arkham Asylum at the moment and really enjoying it - the combat feels hella satisfying, and rarely has a game been so good at making me feel like such a BAMF.

Thanks MD. Downloaded last night, just played a couple rounds. Gameplay is smooth AF, and instantly fun. Probably more fun co-op with a friend (with headsets, I mean). But I can see the online play getting old in less than a year. Wish we got a peak at the campaign mode in this demo. Color me very interested in a purchase, but will wait to find out more about the campaign.
Also, I'm sick of FPSs that don't let you switch your shoulder. Makes such a huge difference when shooting around a corner.
