Finally watched "The Covenant" and loved it... Underrated/Overlooked perhaps?
I felt pretty good about it most of the way through, but it felt a little rushed or incomplete in the end, as a whole.
I had a couple of legit jump scares, I really liked the way they shot all the action sequences.

I was pleasantly surprised by the action sequences too. Not usually a Guy Ritchie fan. I feel like if he cared more or something his movies could be so much better.

Jacob Elordi is a good actor, very compelling. Barry Keoghan is also a good actor, and he has a beautiful body. But Saltburn is a mostly insufferable movie

Firing up The Sting. I've been dying to see this since I saw Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Robert Redford, Paul Newman and Robert Shaw - how could you possibly go wrong?

Different tonally. More earnest. And you should always make time for Paul Giamatti.

I goddamn love Funny Farm. But I also haven't seen it in years. It may not hold up. But god I remember just loving the fuck out of that thing. Hating Chevy might actually work in your favor here, though. The character in the movie is a giant dick and I don't think you're supposed to "like" him. It's more of an "Almost Sunny" type comedy, where you're meant to find humor and joy in how shitty he is.

Ok, I'll throw it on in the next few nights. Thanks for the recommendation.

Tom Hanks stuck in the floor is still one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Yeah the Money Pit is good, I don’t know if I saw funny farm because even as a kid I was wary of Chevy chase

Here’s a Candy that may be under the radar. Who’s Harry Crumb? We used to rent that over and over. I should probably add that to the “seen a dozen times” thread. So fucking funny.
